What to say here.
Being able to photograph people you love and quite literally live your day to day life with, is almost an out of body experience. The entire day, I was floating around…crying, photographing, sharing moments with friends and loved ones, crying, completely losing my emotions, photographing…its completely different than shooting anything else. It’s an honor. A privilege and blessing. Not something to take lightly…but something to breathe in deeply and REMEMBER. To be able to be with Ansley + Timmy on their wedding day was so so special.
Some days I go through this business as if my life is completely normal…my job is to photograph weddings, which I love and adore. I work, I edit, I play mom and wife…and then some days I sit back and think, “JESUS, thank you.” Who else gets to see this so up close and personal? Who else gets to inhale these moments of intimacy and literally watch LOVE unfold before their eyes? We do. We do every weekend and when its friends, when its people we love, I sit back and thank the Lord for giving me…giving US these times and these moments to treasure forever.
Ansley + Timmy, your love is pure. Raw. Passionate. Contagious. You’ve taught us so much about patience and perseverance and faithfulness. You’ve been our loyal friends and our community. We love you, we adore you. Thank you.
The story, you guys, is never a short one. The emotions are real and many. The journey is long and so is this post…I treasure every photograph here and I hope you will also.
