G+H, Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer

From G:

“About Bek crying. Wow, I don’t know what to say about that besides it really touches us deeply that she felt so much.  I have to say that the feeling is mutual.  Whenever Honey and I think of our wedding, we inevitably think of you two, and are so glad that you were there with us.”

I did, I cried so hard leaving this wedding…the ugly, shoulders heaving cry. And I don’t really do that. But he is right, I felt SO MUCH. I felt like I was leaving dear dear friends, as if I was never going to see them again. (we’ll make it happen you guys…I refuse to go through this life without spending more time with you!)

Ben and I are truly so blessed by what we do. G + H flew down here for their engagement session earlier this year and we instantly connected with them…on a level that was real and honest and raw. Its been over a year of looking forward to their gorgeous Lake Tahoe wedding and the day of was so much more than we could have anticipated.

It was more than flowers and details, dresses and beautiful locations. It was family, depth…real moments, love unfolding right before our eyes. I have truly never met another couple who love like G+H. Full on, no reservations, hard. I think Honey hugged me, REALLY hugged me 3-4 times throughout the day. Once, right before she linked arms with her dad to walk down the aisle. She said, “Can I hug you? I cant imagine you not being here with me today.”

Therein lies the reason we do this and why we love it. The connection, the relationship established. The incredibly raw and intimate moments we not only get to be witness to, but are allowed to capture for eternity. It’s a humbling thing. Its a rewarding and beautiful thing.

Stories are long and unfold over lifetimes. All of the tiny moments, and the big moments below make up a beautiful story…..so enjoy. And be sure to pay attention…there are so many gorgeous film images below, taken by Ben. He shot mostly film this entire day and we are so in love with the results.

More from G:

“…..but I also discovered that there is so much more to the choosing of photographers than the photos they produce.  Ben and Bek love each other, love their children, and love God…love their Twitter accounts…and still have enough love to give the couples that they photograph week in and week out.  Not only are they great at what they do, they’re a lot of fun at the same time.  You’ll want to hang out with them.  The photographers you choose are a big part of the memories we have from our wedding.  They’re there when you’re getting ready in the morning.  They’re there when you’re crying during your vows.  They’re there for the best party of your life.  In terms of memories, Ben and Bek feature as prominently as our closest family members and friends….”

G + H – you’re forever burned upon our hearts….
