Ben and I have had many featured weddings by the wonderful ladies over at WC, and have been so blessed to establish a bit of a relationship with them…from all the way here in Florida:) We truly feel like our work is a great fit with what you consistently see in every Wedding Chicks blog post; beautiful imagery, imagery with emotion, with something that captivates, with something that inspires. I love to spend time on this blog, and I always leave loving what I’ve seen.
Its so easy in the photography world to feel discouraged by all that you see; features and posts and long-winded blogs full of arrogant attitudes, silly agendas, and cynicism. We love Wedding Chicks (and our Southern Weddings ladies!), because we always leave their blog inspired! Happy! Feeling motivated and moved to take on the world…not down-trodden or with a new agenda to get irritated with and post on a forum about. (silly.)
We couldnt be more humbled by this honor, and truly just thankful for all God is doing with our little business. I dont tell many people this, but I SERIOUSLY did my first photo shoot with a Sony Cybershot. (DO NOT TELL ANYONE.) Some days I think back to that shoot and contemplate, A) how did she trust me!! and B) I’m so glad she trusted me! And to think that we now do something we love so much, something that allows me to be home with my kids, something that makes others so happy…its so fulfilling and we’re so thankful for the opportunities that God has brought our way. Like this one. Thankful, Humbled, Blessed.
Melissa, and all the other girls over at Wedding Chicks…THANK YOU. For being inspirations in this business, for loving our work, and for all around being amazing!
**id like to say a special “holla” to my girl Melissa Barragan, the Accounts Manager for WC. Not only was she so sweet and so nice in every email, but girlfriend loves HUSH PUPPIES (who doesnt??). And you can read all about her amazing hush puppy bar idea in the latest issue of Southern Weddings Magazine V4! On Page 53, “If I have a Southern Wedding…”, Melissa along with other wedding bloggers were asked a slew of questions about what their Southern Wedding would be like should they have one! Its a fun read and packed full of rad ideas. Melissa, you’re a girl after my own heart! (HELLO CARBS!) and I think you’re great! MUAH!
