kallima photography – the blog bio picture

welcome to kp.

im rebekah. thats my husband ben, to the left. i am blessed by him every day. he is the second face and shooter behind kallima photography. it is hard for me to shoot a wedding without my husband by my side, and we are so lucky to be able to take pictures together. ben and i recently welcomed our first little adventure into this world, josiah. words cannot adequately express how amazing it is to be a mom. this blog is to document my incredible clients, my adventures, my life, and my family. nothing that i have done or will do would be possible if i were not unconditionally loved by my amazing Savior.

i am a wedding, engagement, and life photographer in west palm beach, florida. my approach to photography is simple: let it be. let it be fun, let it be natural, let it flow. a friend once asked me what i like to photograph most. i told her engagements. but the more i sat and thought about that, i realized that no...thats not right. i love to photograph love. love in all forms...love that comes as laughter, tears, shouts, dance, silliness, and yes...vogue. (love IS VOGUE!) i love love. i love to see my clients in love..whether it be with their dog, their daughter, or their soulmate.

if you've been here before, hi:) welcome back. if its your first go round checking me out, hello:) thanks for stopping by. i like to think that my work speaks for itself, that its incredibly obvious and intentional, like me. i love natural light, bright colors, real moments, and photos with energy and emotion. clients describe a session with me as "fun, and full of laughs". email me, and maybe we can laugh together soon.

And now for something completely different….

Rebekah is good with people.  It might be because she’s funny and takes decent pictures…..but I know the truth.  It’s because she’s hot.  I can say this because I’m married to her and get to experience this smoldering hotness on a daily basis.  But you, the client, are missing out on all of this awesomeness.  So, when Rebekah came to me last year to tell me that she wanted to make a video of a photo shoot for clients to experience- I was all for it.  Ok….I was a little confused…but hey, that’s pretty common.  So, Brad Bennett from Shaking Hands Productions flew down with his lovely fiance and filmed away.  The result blew me away.  I think the most difficult thing about hiring a photographer is that you see the blog and the website, but you still wonder what your experience is going to be like.  Hopefully this gives you an idea of what Kallima Photography is all about.  Make sure to watch the outtakes…they’re typical Rebekah.   Special thanks to Brad Bennett of Shaking Hands Productions, The W Fort Lauderdale, and Lane and Whitney Henneman, and Daniel & Kathryn Sharpstein.  By the way, you can view the post from Lane & whitney’s photoshoot here. during my first consultation with jenna, she told me they are not huge ::being in front of the camera and loving it people::…WHO IS! i laughed it off…after all, they’ve never had a pregnant lady crouch on the concrete to take their pic so let me tell you…there was humor and they did awesome. im in love with their images. cant wait for march you two! enjoy!
